Dear Blog Readers-

I'm such a slacker!  It's been over 5 months since my last correspondence which could very well be a new record, even for me!  I suppose the good news is that business is busier than ever, therefore, I am also busier than ever.  I can't complain, but sometimes I still do ;-)

Yes, I also realize it's already the 10th of October and I'm just now getting around to talking about Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Well it is fundraising time at the pub and we are "All Hopped Up For The Cure"!  We are once again raising money all month long for the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation women's health and breast care services!  Timmy Lovold made another beautiful custom electric guitar (pink of course!), and The Bike Peddler donated an adorable Electra Cruiser for the cause.  Raffle tickets are on sale all month long at the pub, need not be present to win.  If you don't live around here and want to buy some tickets, please respond to this email and Aura can help you out.  OR we have really cute shirts available at the pub and in our online Gift Shop regardless of where you live!  Thanks to Farm Fresh Clothing Company for donating the shirts this year so that we may donate more to the cause.  "Framboise For A Cure" was also still available on draft and in bottles to go as of this afternoon!. Raffles for the bike and guitar will be held on Halloween night at our annual party with the brewery's own in-house band, The Mud, The Blood and The Beer.  As always, 100% of the proceeds of EVERYTHING will be donated to the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation right here in Santa Rosa!

Some of you may know that we just got back from the Great American Beer Festival in Denver where we picked up a Gold Medal on our kind of newish STS Pils!  This was my and Vinnie's 22nd year attending the fest. Our first year was in 1994 when Vinnie had just opened Blind Pig Brewing Company in Temecula.  Thinking that might be our only time at the GABF, Vinnie splurged for a room at The Westin which was very expensive for us at the time. Thankfully, we have managed to attend every year since!  A little older, grayer (one of us), and wiser (haven't closed Falling Rock in years!), it's simply mind-blowing how huge both the GABF and our industry have become!

Vinnie and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this past July!  We renewed our vows in a beautiful ceremony on Kauai complete with a rainbow!  I know this has nothing to do with beer or the brewery, but I wanted to share this important life event with you.  It's not always easy being married to your business partner, but we somehow figured out to make it work and have fun at the same time.  I think we make a pretty good team!

And I will finish by giving a quick shout out to those 2 guys at the Mammoth Bluesapalooza and Festival of Beers who still read my blog!  Thank you ALL for being my loyal blog readers!
