SUMMARY

Russian River Brewing Company, located in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a full time Busser/Host to join our team at the pub!

If you are at least 21 years of age, available to work day and/or evening shifts, (including weekends and holidays), and have prior restaurant/customer service experience we'd like to meet with you! A passion for beer and excellent pub food is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Our customers are very important to us! The Busser/Host is a representative of the pub to our customers and is responsible for the following regular duties:

  • Demonstrates friendly and sincere attitude with all customers and co-workers
  • Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that details are handled properly and customers' concerns and requests are addressed
  • Completes side work before pub opens or when manager requests
  • Clears and cleans tables to prepare for the next seating
  • Pre-busses: clears empty plates and glasses as needed
  • Cleans up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and removes empty bottles and trash
  • Greets customers when they enter the pub and seats them at tables
  • Provides customers with menus
  • Maintains a list of available tables and ensures tables are not empty for more than five minutes
  • Maintains a waiting list when necessary
  • Accurately quotes a waiting time to all customers
  • Speaks with customers to ensure satisfaction with food and service, or to respond to complaints
  • Answers telephone calls and responds to inquiries or transfers calls as appropriate while effectively dealing with customers as they arrive
  • Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that details are handled properly and customers' concerns and requests are addressed

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Bilingual skills a plus

  • Must be available to work days/nights, including weekends and holidays

THE LEGAL STUFF

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have at least 6 months of qualifying restaurant and/or customer service experience.

Much of the work consists of conveying information verbally. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand for long periods of time and walk; use fingers, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Dishwasher

Russian River Brewing Company is seeking a full time Dishwasher to join our team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

  1. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
  2. Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
  3. Change dishwater in dish machine every hour.
  4. Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
  5. Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
  6. Set up or break down dishwashing area.
  7. Clean and roll/unroll mats.
  8. Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
  9. Sweep/mop floors.
  10. Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
  11. Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
  12. Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
  13. Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
  14. Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
  15. Other duties as directed.
  16. Any other tasks as requested by a manager on duty

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Serve Safe or California Food Handlers Certification
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Bilingual skills a plus

  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays (required)
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn basic sanitation and workplace safety regulations, food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
  • Vocational school courses in kitchen basics such as food safety and handling procedures preferred
  • Must be efficient, quick, and work well as part of a team
  • Ability to withstand constant pressure to prepare dishwashing quickly, while ensuring quality is maintained, and safety and sanitation guidelines are observed at all times
  • Personal cleanliness is essential

THE LEGAL STUFF

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have some qualifying work experience. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand and walk quickly for long periods of time. The position requires manual dexterity and ability to quickly move hand(s) for dishwashing; use of hand with arm, grasp, manipulate or assemble. Talk and hear; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 75 pounds. Creativity and a keen sense of taste and smell are needed. Use of arms above the shoulder is sometimes required. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
