Greetings from beautiful Downtown Denver! I’m taking a break from all the fun and frivolity of the Great American Beer Festival to check in with you and officially kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This year we will be at the Festival on October 1st so I have had to delegate quite a bit more than usual and come to the GABF with pink hair! No worries- we have wonderful employees and most people seem to understand and appreciate my pinkness!
This photo was just taken at The Falling Rock Tap House during the annual Sierra Nevada Harvest Ale Keg Tapping! We are modeling this year’s Farm Fresh “All Hopped Up For The Cure” t-shirts. From left are Tammy, Renee, me, Debi, and Ann. Debi and Renee are wearing the men’s shirt. Tammy, Ann, and I are showing off the girls! Farm Fresh is located in Sonoma County and their shirts are American made from organically grown American cotton (they feel like your favorite old concert t-shirt!). The shirts are now available in the pub, and will be posted in our online gift shop by October 1st. If you don’t live in our area, this is a great way for you to help contribute to the cause and get a cool s
Here is a photo of the adorable Pink Vespa 150 from Revolution Moto that we will be raffling off on October 29th! The scooter is now on display at the pub and raffle tickets go on sale Monday, October 3rd! Tickets are $10 each, 3 for $25. You don’t need to be present to win but you will need to answer your phone at 10pm that night to confirm that you really want it! Other cool raffle items include a custom made Ribbecke Electric Guitar and a cute pink Beach Cruiser donated by Cambria Bicycle Outfitters. Those tickets will also go on sale Monday October 3rd. And I will post more pictures when the guitar is delivered next week. All the drawings will be held on October 29th at the Halloween Bash!
This year, like the past 4 or 5 years, we are raising money for The Sutter Breast Care Center of Santa Rosa! It feels really great to help people in our community with early detection services, or treatment after diagnosis of breast cancer. Representatives from Sutter will be on hand Monday, October 3rd, at 7pm to help us officially kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in style!
Here is a photo of the Framboise For A Cure being bottled about 6 weeks ago! We are releasing it on Monday, October 3rd, at 11am when we open. We are allocating a certain number of cases per day for 2 weeks to provide the opportunity for more people to enjoy it! Each person can buy 2 bottles (per day) for $20 each and we will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Breast Care Center! And it’s a pretty reddish-pink color (Vinnie says the beer is more red than pink, but the foam is definitely pink!) As our family and friends of the brewery, I just need to ask you 2 favors: 1. Please enjoy this beer with friends and family or give it as a gift to someone you love! 2. Please help us monitor illegal sales of it and if/when you see someone doing it (i.e. Ebay), turn them in and/or contact the seller directly. Thank you for your help and supporting a great cause!
There will be a page on our website by October 1st with more details about our efforts in October. But I had time to blog now so I am a little ahead of the rest (I have a little beer festival to attend shortly!). Also, please check our music calendar- we have a great lineup of fantastic shows all month long! Stay tuned for another update very soon!
