Tour Guide and Tasting Room Sales/ Windsor



This position is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by providing beer education through tours and tastings, while being a passionate steward for craft beer and RRBC. We are hiring full time tour guides and tasting room staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets and assists customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Sets up beer tastings according to menu or customer request
  • Performs guided tour for paying guests and VIP’s, following training guidelines
  • May assist in scheduling, checking in and/or providing information on guided and self-guided tours of the brewery
  • Provides educational information regarding our beers, the beer making process, and RRBC history
  • Participates in all company sponsored training programs regarding beer
  • Abides by company policies on allocations for certain beer styles
  • Responsibly collects and handles cash and credit card transactions
  • Balances drawer at the end of each shift
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work space
  • Keeps bar area organized (tasting room or tasting bar locations during tour), clean and presentable all times
  • Performs opening or closing duties as directed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Basic arithmetic
  • Ability to operate POS system (Revel)
  • Principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with the public
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions, and not interrupting
  • Actively looking for ways to help people
  • Work as a team member
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Passion, enthusiasm, focus, creativity, and a positive outlook
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification (RRBC provides)
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
