We are hiring a full time bartender/barback to join our team in Windsor!

This position serves beverages and food to customers in a friendly, efficient, responsible and professional manner, and ensures a positive experience for everyone, while being a passionate steward for RRBC and craft beer.

  • Greets customers upon arrival; assists with seating as needed
  • Provides information to customers about RRBC, our beer and food items
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation at all times; performs closing clean-up duties
  • Takes food and beverage orders from customers accurately and courteously; responds to questions regarding food and beverage items
  • Attempts to limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering taxis for intoxicated customers
  • Maintains knowledge of and strictly abides by state liquor regulations and verifies legal drinking age of customers
  • Collects payment from customers; makes change as needed; issues receipts
  • Maintains ethical and honest handling of company’s money at all times
  • Assists customers with merchandise, growlers and bottled beer to go
  • Stocks bar with all necessary items including glassware, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and supplies
  • Resolves customer problems/complaints; utilizes own best judgment in resolving issues or refers to management as needed
  • Maintains knowledge of beer selections, menu items, preparation method, ingredients, and prices
  • Assists other staff members as needed to ensure optimum service to all customers


  • Basic business arithmetic

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • High school diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • Minimum one year related experience in a restaurant environment or equivalent and prior bartending/barback experience is required
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Bilingual skills a plus

  • Current CA Food Handler Certification; Cicerone a plus


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Much of the work consists of conveying information verbally, and greeting and assisting customers. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand for long periods of time and walk; use finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands; talk and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and carry up to 55 pounds, and/or move up to 155 pounds. Use of arms above the shoulder is sometimes required. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Requires manual dexterity and ability to quickly move hand(s), hand with arm, grasp, manipulate or assemble.
