Beatification 2017 Release

Today we are releasing our 2017 Beatification on DRAFT only at our brewpub in Downtown Santa Rosa! We debuted the latest batch of Beatification this past weekend at both the Firestone Invitational and Sierra Nevada's Beer Camp in San Francisco. This beer is unique in that we transfer the beer from the kettle into our koelschip which is a long, shallow, open-top tank in the barrel room. The beer sits overnight to collect all the ambient wild yeasts, or "bugs and critters", then is racked into used wine barrels for fermentation. Because no yeast is added to the beer, we call this process "spontaneous fermentation", or affectionately known to us as "Sonambic". Once Vinnie is satisfied with the beer, it is then bottled and kegged for conditioning (carbonation).   Beatification will be available at our pub...

Construction Begins and NEW RRBC Website!

Greetings from Sonoma County! Please excuse my extended hiatus from blogging.  Not only are we working incredibly hard on the new brewery, but we have been in the process of changing website hosts for seemingly a very long time.  But the switch is finally compete and this is my first blog post on our new website!  While several pages on our new site are still in need of updating, the most important page is up and running.  Check out the Windsor Brewery page for the scoop on the new brewery, a gorgeous rendering, and images from our LIVE construction camera! The camera takes a photo every 10 minutes (during daylight hours) and streams it LIVE to our website.  This super cool camera is on a 40 foot...

RRBC Windsor location is official!

It has been a very exciting week around here for me and Vinnie and our entire brewery family! This past Thursday we closed escrow on our new brewery property in Windsor! Some of you who also follow us on Facebook may have already heard the news. But our BLOG readers are going to get the full scoop… We have been looking for a very long time (like a couple of years) to find the right property here in Sonoma County. First and foremost, we were ready to own, not lease, and that limited our search by quite a bit. But, alas, the Windsor property that we previously looked at finally came available for sale. All Hopped Up For The Cure 2016!

Dear Loyal Blog Readers, It’s October and, once again, we are “All Hopped Up For The Cure”! This year’s “Framboise For A Cure” is on tap at the pub now through the end of the month, or at least pretty close. The base beer is Temptation and Sonambic aged with 2 pounds of fresh organic California grown raspberries per gallon! Sadly, we have no bottles this year. There was literally no room in the bottling schedule to squeeze it in. That just means we will have it on tap longer at the pub and offering growlers to go for the first time!
